/sɪŋk/ – noun
The group of students creating art through movement
As an umbrella organization that unites the many dance groups in Yale-NUS College, sYNCD incorporates dance styles from all over the world. We aim to create a vibrant and inclusive dance community, in which students learn from and share with each other.
Besides putting up performances, we also record covers for YouTube and participate in dance competitions. Additionally, we conduct workshops and open classes for students who wish to learn dance more casually and for dancers who want to explore unfamiliar styles.
We strongly believe that anyone can be a dancer if they commit themselves to it. And with our small class sizes and unique performance opportunities, everyone has the resources to reach his or her potential as a dancer.
